Natsumi is the 22-year-old bartender of the All-Asian strip club, Dynamite Kitties. She works alongside Hideaki Miyagi at the bar. Ever since Natsumi took her younger brother after they emancipated from their parents, she took a job bartending at a strip club and had to find a roommate to help pay the rent.
Growing up, Natsumi never fit in being the tallest girl and tallest person in school during her time in Shin-Yamato. Any potential suitors her father, Nobuyuki, set up were scared off by her height. Her father was sponsored by a company in the US when the family emigrated in 1979. Natsumi and her brother emancipated from their parents in 1982. She couldn't deal with their father's abuse and strict rules and their mother's alcoholism. Financially, life is tough but she and Naoto are happier.
Natsumi had a hard time fitting in American schools at first so she adopted a valley girl accent and copied the local girls to Americanize herself.
Natsumi is friendly, outgoing, open, and athletic. She loves working out and keeping fit but always wants to be feminine since she was always deemed masculine and tomboyish growing up. She dreams of opening up a flower shop or her own cake shop one day.
