Mark Koks is a prolific energy engineer and the holder of two Nobel Prizes. He won his first Nobel Prize at 24-years-old for inventing the Reonan global positioning system and the second Nobel Prize was for inventing a more efficient, affordable hydroelectric generator for electric companies throughout the world. Mark seems like he has everything going in his favor, but this only the mask worn by an emotionally disturbed and broken man.
Mark is the son of the former owner of The Pink Top City Herald, Paul Koks. Both Paul and Evelyn disappeared from their manor in the summer of 1978 when an intruder broke into the house, slashed Mark’s chest, and took his parents away. This is the version he told to the police. Mark still has a scar across his chest to remember that night. What he didn’t tell the world was that his father, Paul, repeatedly raped and molested Mark when he was a child. The police declared his parents legally dead and Mark inherited their Gothic Victorian Manor and their wealth.
Mark met Blair at Blair’s former high school when he read his thesis paper on why cats make better companions than humans. Mark was so touched by the thesis, he requested to meet Blair. Blair’s kindness and warmth took to Mark and he fell in love with him... and declared if anyone else interfered, he would make them pay.
Since Blair met Celestes, Mark felt his sanity slipping away more and more, and schemes to get rid of her, so he and Blair can be together forever.
