BIO

Dr. Sylvia Hughes, the founder of Pixelsun Securities. She has been a friend of the Donati family ever since she emigrated from Anglia in 1977. She always has the family’s best interest at heart.

She is an infosec consultant. Companies hire her to find vulnerabilities in their websites or office networks—routes through which they may be hacked, leak data, etc. and either fix them or recommend changes that would mitigate them. She could reverse-engineer a virus, other malware, or vulnerable software. That means she examines the binary code the computer actually runs and figures out what the software does from that. 

She was the eldest child of Hayden and Olivia-Rose Hughes. Dr. Hayden Hughes taught her everything he knew about programming, math, and engineering. Her paternal grandmother, Dr. Marie Hughes, was one of the pioneers of programming. She was a skilled mathematician who worked on several projects in her day. 

Sylvia has traveled the world, met many interesting people, and yearns to make her landmark on every train station on the planet. Since she was a child, she was fascinated with trains and how they operate. She has a room dedicated to building her own toy train stations, trains, and railways. 

Sylvia is private about her past. She knows a lot more about who attempted to assassinate Demetrio more than she lets on. 

On the exterior, Sylvia appears stern and uptight but is caring toward those close to her, always willing to lend an ear, and gives wise advice on how to handle the situation. She is always there to console Blair during his time of need and isn't afraid to be blunt with Celeste when necessary.
